The Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association will hold its Fourth Annual Comedy Night and Silent Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, May 9, at the Franklin Institute. All proceeds benefit the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.

Gerry Dee of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" is headlining the event, which begins at 7 p.m. and includes opening act William Chiang, an open bar, hors d'oeuvre, a DJ and a silent auction. Tickets are $65 for both Bar Association members and non-members and can be purchased by calling 215.238.6300 or on the Bar Association's website, philadelphiabar.org.

For more information on sponsoring the event, contact the Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, Brian Chacker, at bchacker@gaychackermittin.net. For information on donating an item for the Silent Auction, contact Chair-Elect Abbie DuFrayne at adufrayne@petrellilaw.com.

The mission of the Young Lawyers Division is to promote the interests of young lawyers, improve the quality of the legal system, provide a forum for the exchange of views among young lawyers, encourage the professional development of young lawyers through educational and service programs, participate in the growth and advancement of the legal profession, and encourage young lawyers to represent deserving clients on a pro bono basis.

The mission of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation is to promote access to justice for all Philadelphians, particularly those struggling with poverty, abuse and discrimination.
